Awake to Fresh Morning Greens
Every morning I awake knowing it is essential to get the metabolism firing. The body has been fasting since before bed. The machine needs fuel. There are a few rituals I have learned to get the machine fired up, these include Apple Cider Vinegar, Water and Morning Greens.
Waking up and greeting the day is a process I have grown to love over the years. Where before it was about the high fat/cholesterol foods, now it is about clean raw nutrient rich energy. Time is still spent enjoying the moring sun shine, reviewing emails and planning the work day, I simply have more energy and alertness while getting it done.
Morning Greens Shake, let me break it down for you…
Combine in a blender cup
1.5 inches of cucumber skin on
1/2 cup baby spinach
1/2 teaspoon spirulina (green blue algae)
1/4 cup frozen pineapple
5-10 mint leaves
coconut water (coconut milk or plain water are also good)
variations include adding cashew butter or avacodo.
